What is it like traveling in 40’ and longer rigs? Is it limiting where you can camp?

We have traveled since 2012 in long fifth wheels, first a 42′ bunkhouse and then later in a 44’ toy hauler. We traveled extensively before going fulltime in 2015. Once fulltime, we averaged about 50 stops a year and moved an average of every 8 nights.

We never once had to skip a destination due to our rig’s size. We always found a park to stay in, though there definitely were parks we couldn’t fit in.

As for boondocking in rigs that size, we didn’t do a lot of boondocking, but we had many friends in 40’+ rigs that did it.
